Spinal Manipulation
Spinal manipulation, also described as Diversified technique or adjustment is the most common treatment used in chiropractic care. Spinal manipulation addresses spinal mobility and pain by gently encouraging and restoring normal motion in joints which have become restricted. This alleviates excessive strain on adjacent joints, discs, ligaments and tendons which can irritate spinal nerves and cause pain to spread from the back into the limbs. An audible release or click often accompanies spinal manipulation, when carried out by a qualified professional this is very safe and effective proceedure. You may feel some short term discomfort if there is muscle spasm around the area to be treated. If your problem has not been treated for a long time there may be some post-treatment soreness. We take care to explain to you if this is likely to happen and how to minimise any discomfort.
